Another look at WW1

Another look at WW1.
Trying to avoid the standard approuch by using cigarbands to tell something about the main players of World War 1. Both in black/white and colour.

Uniform Kaiser Wilhelm 2

100 years ago the first World War started. This will be remembered this year.  One of the main players was the german kaiser Wilhelm 2. He was known to be very fond of his uniforms, as you can see here.
These photos have been hand coloured.

the new Mr. Blue Sky

Enjoy!

Jeff Lynne, the genius behind ELO, the Electric Light Orchestra, has re-recorderd some of his greatest ELO hits. Of course he wanted full control, so he played all the instruments,  recorded and produced the album. Enjoy the great animation made to the title track, Mr Blue Sky!

Andy Williams Lounge Legend

A tribute to the recently deceased Andy Williams.
Of course he earns a place in my Lounge Legends series.

Welcome to the future

My latest illustration is actually my uncontrollable urge to draw retro technical devices. So let's celebrate the future. The future of the past ...

Ira Glass on the Creative Process

Gewoon volhouden dus.

Just ran into a beautiful statement about creative development. And that difficulties are normal! So just hang in there and keep creating.

Happy Holidays

Lounge legends

'Living it up' by Bert Kaempfert

'From Russia with love' by Matt Monro

'Mucha Muchacha' by Esquivel

A new series of illustrations celebrating the original lounge legends.
The fantastic musicians who brought you bachelar pad music, space age pop end exotica. The look resembles a vintage LP-cover.

We love swiss mountains!

A swiss mountain range remains a beautiful sight.
If you scan my previous work, you will find some mountains in the background.

Recently i made these drawings of swiss mountains.

Its nice to draw al these details. They will probably end up in some future illustration.
