Thanks to a online design class from JamesVictore I have honoured one of my musical heroes with these posters.

Uniform Kaiser Wilhelm 2

Dit jaar wordt de eerste wereldoorlog herdacht, inmiddels 100 jaar geleden. Een van de hoofdrolspelers was de Duiste keizer Wilhelm 2. Hij stond tevens bekend als een groot liefhebber van uniformen, zoals hier te zien. De foto's zijn ingekleurd.

100 years ago the first World War started. This will be remembered this year.  One of the main players was the german kaiser Wilhelm 2. He was known to be very fond of his uniforms, as you can see here.
These photos have been hand coloured.

the new Mr. Blue Sky

Het genie achter Electric Light Orchestra ELO is natuurlijk Jeff Lynne. Hij heeft een aantal ELO hits opnieuw opgenomen waarbij het zelf alle instrumenten speelt. Daarbij is Mr. Blue Sky de titel van de cd en is er ook prachtige animatie gemaakt op dit nummer. Ideaal om het grijze herfstweer te verdrijven. Enjoy!

Jeff Lynne, the genius behind ELO, the Electric Light Orchestra, has re-recorderd some of his greatest ELO hits. Of course he wanted full control, so he played all the instruments,  recorded and produced the album. Enjoy the great animation made to the title track, Mr Blue Sky!

We love swiss mountains!

Een zwitsers berglandschap blijft toch een prachtig gezicht.
Als je goed kijkt zie je in mijn werk nu en dan een berglandschap op de achtergrond.
Recentelijk heb ik deze tekeningen gemaakt.
Redelijk gedetailleerd en mischien terug te vinden in een toekomstige illustratie.

 Nog zo'n franse klassieker. Dit keer de beroemde Citroën 'traction-avant' hetgeen voorwielaandrijving betekend.

Fantomas

Ik ben een grote liefhebber van films uit de jaren 60. Met die geweldige retro vormgeving. Laatst nog de FANTOMAS trilogie op DVD weten te bemachtigen.
I am a big fan of movies from the sixties. They have a great retro quality. Recently I got my hands on the dvd of one of my favorites: FANTOMAS.

Na het zien van de films, maar gelijk de pen op papier gezet. Gecombineerd met enkele klassiekers op 4 wielen.
This inspired me to do some drawings of Fantomas and french cars from the sixties.
I love these cars. What a great design.Expect more car-drawings.
